GBCI - Green Building Certification Institute

GBCI was founded to drive implementation of the LEED green building program and has proved instrumental in ensuring LEED remains the world's most widely used green building program. By administering additional complementary rating systems that cover nearly every facet of the sustainability industry, GBCI has grown to include a suite of nearly 10 certification programs and 15 professional credentials and certificates.

Score Reports:

A score of 170 or higher is required to pass all the LEED professional exams. You must earn a scaled score of 170. The scaled score for all GBCI exams ranges from 125-200. The scaled score is calculated by taking the candidate's raw score (total number of correct questions) and mapping it onto a standardized scale between 125 and 200, with the minimum competency threshold always mapped to a scaled score of 170.

For Candidates Taking a 2-hour Exam via Surpass: No printed copy score report will be generated. The score report will be emailed to the email address provided by the candidate during scheduling within 24 hours of the completion of testing by Prometric.

For Candidates Taking a 4-hour (Combined) Exam via UTD: The score report will appear on screen and the candidate receives a printed copy of score report.

GBCI complies with the provisions of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
