EMOH - Ministry of Health- UAE

The MOH medical license exam is an assessing test put forth by the Ministry of Health of UAE for appointing healthcare professionals to work in varying healthcare sectors within the UAE. Those applicants qualifying the MOH examination can work in all the 5 Emirates which are Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah.

The MOH exam is applicable for professions like:

  • Physicians
  • Dentists
  • Pharmacists
  • Nurses and midwives
  • Medical lab technicians
  • Other complementary and alternative physicians, practitioners, and technicians

ID Policy:

For MOH exam, the examinee must present one form of government-issued ID. The ID must be valid and must bear the signature and photograph and should be in English Language. Acceptable IDs include Passport and SMART CNIC.

It is very important that the name with which you register must exactly match the name appearing on your ID card. If there are any name discrepancies, then you would be asked for other valid IDs. Even then, if the name on your presented IDs does not match your registered name, the candidate will not be allowed to take the exam.

Test Availability:

At USEFP testing centres, MOH test is offered four days a week, from Monday to Thursday, throughout the year. However, exceptions can be made through prior approvals, and exam can be conducted on other days as well, if there is an increasing number of candidates for a specific period.

Exam Fees and Registration:

Fees vary as per the exam category and module. The associated fee policies are mentioned on the Ministry of Health -UAE website (http://www.moh.gov.ae). The payments are received online through credit card payment. The candidate can access the exam fee, after selecting the specific exam he or she wishes to enroll in.

Registration for the exam is done by following the below procedure:

  1. Go to the Prometric website (http://www.prometric.com)
  2. Select Test Taker and then search for MOH exam.
  3. You will be directed to the MOH exam information, then click Schedule.
  4. You will be asked about the Eligibility ID,
  5. Proceed with scheduling of the exam.

Rescheduling/Cancellation of Exam:

The rescheduling or cancellation is done through the below procedure:

  1. Go to the Prometric website (http://www.prometric.com)
  2. Select Test Taker and then search for MOH exam.
  3. You will be directed to the MOH exam information, then click Reschedule.
  4. You will be asked about the Confirmation number.
  5. Proceed with rescheduling or cancellation of the exam.

Score Reports:

Upon completion of the exam, the candidates receive an exam completion notice from the USEFP testing center. However, the official results are communicated to the candidate through email by the Ministry of Health-UAE.

Disability Services:

As per the policy, the Ministry of Health-UAE does not allow any person with disabilities to take the MOH exams.
