CLEP - College-Level Examination Program Test

CLEP is a credit by examination program that is accepted by over 2,900 colleges and universities.

Developed by College Board, CLEP offer 33 different tests in five subject areas including History and Social Science, Composition and Literature, Science and Mathematics, Business, and World Languages, covering the knowledge that students learn in the first two years of college. The tests include mostly multiple choice questions. Other questions require students to fill in a numeric answer, to shade areas of an object, or to put items in the correct order. Some tests also include optional essays, whereas the language test includes a listening section.

Test Availability:

The tests are available at USEFP's Islamabad center five days a week, Monday through Thursday, throughout the year.

Test Registration:

Test takers will have to register for the tests and pay the exam fee online. Payment of administrative fee will be done at the testing center on the day of the exam. After you decide which test you want to take, you will need to register your test through My Account registration portal on the CLEP website. This portal will guide you in uploading your personal information and register for the test of your choice. Once your registration is complete, you will need to print the registration ticket that you will have to present at the test center on test day.

Test Fee:

The CLEP test fee is $80 for each test. The test takers also have to pay an additional administrative fee at the test center.

ID Policy:

At the time of registration please make sure that the name you enter matches exactly with the name appearing on your identification, including the spellings and order of the name.

On the day of the test all test takers must present government issued identification that includes their complete name, photograph and signature. This may include driver's license, passport or other government-issued identification. Please note that the name on the ID must match the name on the registration ticket.

Scores and Score Reports:

CLEP scores are displayed on screen at the end on the test. Test administrators also provide you with a print out copy of the score report to the test takers before they leave the test center. The scores of the College Composition exam, are mailed to test-takers two to three weeks after the test date.
